Hamwigas Pty Ltd has always been ambassadors for promoting cleaner sustainable energy solutions. In the early 1990s Hamwigas forced the LPG market price down in South Africa with the aim of making LPG affordable for the previously disadvantaged communities and promoting a safer, healthier alternative energy supply. Our success in supplying affordable LPG to the domestic market encouraged us to Introduce our LPG conversion kits to the automotive industry. Following the same business principles and purpose of a cleaner alternative fuel supply, Hamwigas launched our LPG technology to the automotive industry and opened up LPG service stations across the country. Hamwigas achieved our overall objective of educating the previously disadvantaged community of the health and safety benefits of LPG in the domestic market and the use of LPG as an alternative automotive fuel. Hamwigas created many new job opportunities when we opened up a chain of LPG retail sites across South Africa.
