HandsOn Tech Chicago is an Americorps VISTA program created through a partnership between Google and the HandsOn Network. The mission of the program is to increase the effectiveness of the nonprofit sector's use of technology and ultimately improve outcomes for low-income communities and families. HOTC offers free training sessions for nonprofit professionals on various technology topics. Sessions are held all over the Chicago area and taught by leaders from the Chicago tech community. HOTC also offers free tech consulting and skills-based volunteer matching services for nonprofits.
