Hangar6 is the First Flight Venture Center's newest program – offering advanced prototyping and design assistance space for technology-based companies, entrepreneurs and start-ups. Located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, Hangar6 enables companies to design, build and model product prototypes using advanced equipment and tools, including 3D scanners, CO2 lasers, metal fiber lasers, CNC milling machines, 3D printers, and more. Hangar6 offers a space for entrepreneurs to build prototypes on their own schedule. Evolve your designs in real time, and tap into the expertise of our skilled team for machine training and design assistance. We provide access to equipment, workspace, and a community of like-minded people and experienced technologists – all the resources you need to get your ideas off the napkin and into the marketplace. Hangar6 is a subscription-based program, with options to meet small or large company needs. We offer monthly and yearly memberships, as well as sponsorships with multiple memberships for larger enterprises.Hangar6 was made possible through the EDA 16 award challenge grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, and was developed by First Flight Venture Center with in-kind support from Alexandria Real Estate (ARE), the North Carolina Center of Innovation Network (COIN), and Eva Garland Consulting EGC. For more than 25 years, First Flight Venture Center has been North Carolina's foremost science and technology business incubator.
