My mission as a composer is to create accessible, pattern-based music that evokes imagination and inspires students to love playing the piano. One of the biggest struggles that music teachers encounter is how to motivate and inspire their students. I have taught piano lessons for the last fourteen years, and if there is one thing that I have learned, it's that every student is unique when it comes to their learning style and taste in music. Lessons need to be personalized and music needs to be carefully selected in order to keep students engaged, motivated and eager to practice at home. This is how my composition journey began. My pieces are patterned in such a way, that students of all ages are able to learn them with ease. Even through simple patterns and movements, an exciting sound is being created. I love using block/broken triads, arpeggios and scales in my pieces, so that students can learn the movements and techniques in a way that sounds fun and exciting. My goal is to create an experience that is fun for both the student and the teacher.
