Hanover Foundations, a registered charity based in London, ran its first programmes in schools in 1997. It offered professional development coaching programmes to students of 14 and above. A major delivery partner in London Challenge, Hanover worked with Government, NGOs, local authorities and direct with FE colleges, academies and schools. Patron was the former secretary of state, Baroness Morris of Yardley (Estelle Morris). All programmes were designed to help young people to develop personal skills and to build the self-esteem to take control of life and potential. Hanover Foundations established a highly successful track record of working in partnership with education, training and youth agencies, enabling young people of every ability to succeed. In this, Hanover was consistently part of the solution in turning around underperforming schools. Its sustained results and its reputation for high quality delivery, were secondary to none. Hanover's innovative, goal-orientated programmes that were focused on overcoming self-limiting beliefs and developing strategic skills to succeed, whatever the challenges in life, formed a key part of the successful Department of Education's London Challenge programme.
