The University of Music, Drama and Media Hannover (HMTMH) is one of Germany's most renowned institutions for professional training and academic study in the cultural and artistic field. About 360 teachers, amongst them numerous internationally renown artists, pedagogues and academics are teaching about 1500 students from all over the world. The balance between Music, Drama, Pedagogics and Science as well as the declared belief in excellence within the world-leading as well as in the width training build up an essential part of its self-conception. Therefore the HMTMH provides a broad but differentiated course and program offering, containing 33 study programs as well as world class Master Classes. About 500 public concerts and performances a year represent the HMTMH as one of the biggest cultural operators within the state of Lower Saxony. For a sustainable support of the cultural region of Hannover as well as "Musikland Niedersachsen" the only University of Music Drama and Media within the state of Lower Saxony stays in a permanent exchange with society and initiates a number of educational activities.
