Happy Planet Productions (HPP) is a joint venture of Hollywords, LLC and Creat3, Inc., established to promote sustainable filmmaking and produce works that enrich our viewers' lives in return for a few hours of their time. We take our commitment to society seriously. This influences both the projects we choose to produce and the way we choose to produce them. But just because it's good for you, doesn't mean that it can't also entertain – or look good – so we employ the latest in advanced imaging and audio technologies in our work, including stereoscopic 3D, Ultra-High Definition (UHD 4K+), High Dynamic Range (HDR), Wide Color Gamut (WCG), High-order Ambisonics (HoA), and High Frame Rate (HFR). At HPP we follow the three R's of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle to reduce our environmental impact, offset our carbon footprint to keep our operations carbon-neutral, and pay a fair living wage to all of our employees and contractors. We use the Producers Guild of America's "Green Unified Best Practices Guide" as our baseline and take that to the next level with Extreme Green filmmaking. When filming on location, we act as if we're shooting at our own homes and will have to see everyone again the next day, not as if we're appearing in the next instalment of Crews Gone Wild and will be blowing out of town in the early morning hours, never to be heard from again. HPP is an independent media & entertainment production company, with offices in Los Angeles, London, and Montréal. We produce long- and short-form documentary and scripted fiction films for the giant screen (IMAX), theatrical, home entertainment, and educational markets.
