I am a Yoga Alliance Professionals (YAP) accredited yoga teacher, having completed my 200-hour teacher training at Whitespace Yoga Studio in Stony Stratford in March 2020. As well as being a yoga teacher, I am also a qualified Occupational Therapist, supporting people whose independence, quality of life and wellbeing has been affected by physical injury, illness and disease, neurological disorders and mental health conditions. My passion is to support people to find space and stillness within their everyday lives through the use of yoga, mindfulness and meditation techniques.I love helping people explore what self-care and self-compassion means to them and how they can ensure that these practices take priority in their busy lives. Yoga provides a safe space for people to breathe, slow down, unwind, feel and ‘drop in' to their bodies. It also helps with building strength and tone in the muscles, improves flexibility in the joints, increases respiratory function and cardiovascular fitness, and improves energy and vitality.I have a particular interest in how yoga and meditation assist with stress, fatigue, burnout and sleep. I consider yoga to play a key role in balancing a person's autonomic nervous system, helping people to cope with life challenges easier, sleep well and generally feel happier and healthier.
