HEAI is a joint venture between Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) – via its subsidiary Harbin Aviation Industry Group – and Embraer - Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A. This manufacturing plant, hosted in the city of Harbin, in North East China, produces the ERJ 145 regional jet family, primarily for the Chinese market. This production comprises the structural integration of fuselage, systems installation, painting, wings and empennage mating, final integration of equipment, flight-testing and delivery. After sales service can also be occasionally provided to the airlines, including services and parts supply.
