HashSpot is a platform that provides an alternative way for content curation by introducing the concept of a spot, which is a collaborative list of content that is relevant to a particular topic or area of interest.Each spot is a public web page that's visible to the search engines and can be easily shared in the popular social networks.The spot creator can define the type of content that users can submit to the spot, and also define the way that the submitted content can be ranked by viewers (e.g. up/down voting, likes/dislike, etc.).In order to ease the process of content creation, HashSpot provides custom tools for creating content, based on the type of the spot. For example, when submitting content to a spot of MEMEs, the user will do it using a built-in MEME editor.In addition, HashSpot allows community owners, brands and publishers, to create a channel that will contain spots that relevant to them, and by that to improve their engagement with their audience.To encourage users to submit content to a channel, the content contributors gain points based on the ranking of their submissions, and their rank is visible in the channel's "hall of fame".Channels that were created in HashSpot can be connected to a custom domain to create a branded experience for the channel owner.In addition, the channel owner can connect his channel to a Facebook page, and create Facebook instant articles from the spots in his channel.
