The Hastings Academies Trust was formed in 2011 to sponsor two secondary academies in Hastings and St Leonards.The Trust's sponsors are:The University of Brighton: experts in education with a learning centre in the heart of the town.BT: one of the world's leading communication providers.East Sussex County Council: who started the project and provided much of the funding for the new buildings at the secondary academies.The Hastings Academy and The St Leonards Academy have been in operation since September 2011.
