Hatch Innovation is a 501(c)(3) social enterprise working hard to enable citizens to create enterprises that improve their communities. Hatch was originally founded by Amy Pearl as Springboard Innovation in 2004, becoming an educational non-profit working to enable ordinary people to launch businesses that address local and global community challenges. Throughout its tenure, Springboard powered ChangeXchange, the first American social innovation exchange, and envisioned Hatch Lab, a Community Innovation Lab providing mentorship, consulting, workshops, forums, events, and peer support to entrepreneurs. HatchLab PDX opened in 2014, followed by HatchLab Baker in 2016 and HatchLab Corvallis in 2017. In 2014, Amy Pearl was instrumental in the writing of Oregon's intrastate securities crowdfunding law, which successfully passed on January 15, 2015, and Hatch Oregon was born as the state's first platform for learning about and participating in local investing, launching the first nine companies to make use of community public offerings (CPOs). Our initiatives:• PurposeWorks: Resources and guidance to get social entrepreneurs through the launch process• HatchLabs: A place and community in which ideas for a better world can be tested• Hatch Oregon: A way for Oregonians to invest in themselves• ComCap: A platform for cultivating community capital across the nation
