There are dietary intolerances prescribed by Traditional Naturopathic Doctors that are very difficult to follow completely. Having to learn what various additives are made from, and knowing that rules allow the ingredients on processed foods to list items which might conflict with your intolerances to be labeled vaguely as "spices" or "natural flavors", or they may be left off of the label altogether. As such, it is frustrating for many patients to adapt, as they often have to avoid processed foods altogether, which means making most of your food from scratch.
