Primary/secondary Education - Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom
Hazlehead Academy is a secondary school in Aberdeen, Scotland with a roll of approximately 920 pupils. We are an innovative and ambitious school who are always looking to provide the best possible opportunities for our young people; this includes forging strong and sustained relationships with local businesses. We help our pupils to develop key employability skills via our CATAPULTS initiative – and we are always seeking to partner with new employers to support this activity. By getting involved, employers can help to ensure that our young people are developing the skills their organisations will need in the future. Hazlehead Academy has five feeder primary schools – Hazlehead, Airyhall, Countesswells, Fernielea and Kingsford. We are a selected Scottish Football Association (SFA) Performance school; the most talented footballers from the North-east are educated at the school and gain access to extra football sessions from SFA coaches. Hazlehead Academy houses the Gaelic Unit for Aberdeen's secondary pupils, which also receives pupils from the Primary Gaelic Medium Unit at Gilcomstoun School.
