Welcome to HCJ Accounting Solutions in Brandon, Florida. Unlike a CPA firm, I focus specifically on bookkeeping - the day to day records of your business. I offer many levels of bookkeeping service, and cater to small businesses and new business startups. My name is Kenneth J. Beattie, founder of HCJ Accounting Solutions. I began the company with the needs of other small businesses in mind. I believe that many business owners struggle with their bookkeeping and administrative chores. When you're starting out, or when you're successfully established (thus BUSY), you want to focus on your business and usually the LAST thing you want to do after a long day is book work. When it's crunch time, which it often is in business, bookkeeping is the first thing you let go and get away with it. Until there is a problem! Bookkeeping for your business is something you want to take seriously. It is in fact required by law (see IRS publication 583 regarding recordkeeping). Your books are the financial summary of your business and should be complete, accurate and understandable. They can indicate areas of your operations which have room for improvement as well as areas where you may be exceeding expectations. Good bookkeeping practices can also alert you to potentially damaging problems.
