The Nest is operated by Help End Abuse for Life (HEAL), a 501(c3) nonprofit organization located in Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico. The Nest is the first and only shelter for victims of domestic violence in Lincoln County. HEAL is run by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our Mission: We coordinate and offer support services and safe haven for victims and survivors of domestic violence. We do this by advocating for positive social change, providing training & education, building alliances, securing resources and developing & influencing public policy to eliminate domestic violence. Our Vision: We aspire to a world free of violence and oppression.
