The Health Arts Society of Alberta (HASA) is a registered charity that elevates the lives of Albertans in care and retirement homes by providing compelling performances featuring local professional artists.We are a small organization with a big impact. Founded in 2011, HASA performs 300 concerts throughout Alberta each year, all in in care and retirement facilities. We reach close to 20,000 Albertans living in care annually. In response to the COVID pandemic, HASA, in partnership with the Health Arts Society of BC, launched Concerts in Care Online - a digital concert service that reaches all care facilities in Western Canada. Each concert features local artists, bringing joy to seniors and supporting our local arts community. We envision a province where age and disabilities are no longer barriers to accessing professional arts. HASA subsidizes all performances so that concerts are affordable for care facilities while always paying our musicians professional wages.
