The Health Inequalities Alliance is an evidence based campaigning organisation which operates to reduce health inequalities as a not for profit social enterprise. The poor health outcomes in Scotland compared to other European countries, both in relation to the length of our lives and also the amount of our lives we live feeling healthy, led us to create the Health Inequalities Alliance . We aim to identify and improve the health opportunities of more vulnerable groups by focusing on the unequal outcomes in health and influencing and helping to implement a more equitable, efficient framework for treatment. We seek to support all those in our society who believe ,like us ,that an un-diminishing gap in both the quality and length of life should not prevail in a civilised society. We work with various organisations to help devise and implement local and national strategies that will deliver improvements in health outcomes whilst seeking to achieve a fairer distribution of health Any profits will be reinvested in local groups and charities that will best enable our ends, i.e. those most likely to deliver reductions in health inequality
