Healthy Landscapes provides professional landscape management, or in other words, Landscape Gardening. Healthy Landscapes' "gardeners" have either received a formal education in Horticulture from Oakland Community College's Landscape Horticulture program or are Michigan State University Extension Master Gardeners.Our formal education from OCC includes fifteen week classes on subjects such as "Soils", "Turf Management", "Garden Design and Maintenance", "Plant Health Care", "Plant Identification" and "Arboriculture". These classes are taught by Landscape Horticulture Professors as well as Pesticide Applicators and members of the International Society of Arborists (ISA).The Michigan State University Extension Program has provided opportunities for Master Gardeners to have a "hands on" approach by volunteering for several community projects under the leadership of experienced gardeners.My goal, as the owner of Healthy Landscapes.com is to provide accurate information on sensitive topics in the landscape industry as well as provide a question and answer format with questions from my clients and Web subscribers.
