Heart of Maryland Chorus Details
Chartered in 1951, the Heart of Maryland Chorus is one of 25 choruses in the Atlantic Bay-Mountain Region #19 of Sweet Adelines International. We have performing quartets, and an ensemble. Our repertoire ranges from moving ballads to lively, choreographed up-tunes. Active participation is encouraged of all our members, both musically and administratively. "The Hearts" are governed by an elected board of directors and all chapter activities are supported by a strong roster of committee chairs.Our director, Karen Collins has been directing the chorus since the summer of 2007. She is a retired music teacher who taught choral music for 31 years in Montgomery County.We love to perform and provide entertainment appealing to audiences of all ages. A variety of packages are available including mini-chorus, quartets or full chorus appearances for any size gathering. From golden oldies to moving ballads and lively show tunes, if you need entertainment for a special event our members will lift your spirits, sing and dance for you, and put on a show you'll never forget! We are also always actively looking for new members. If you are a woman with a song in your heart, come spend your Monday evenings with us.
