Hearts and Harleys is a charitable organization created in memory of Gavin Pabst, and his mother, Michelle Heist, both of whom were taken from us in November 2014. This charitable organization has been established in order to raise funds, through a series of annual events, for a variety of causes we felt would honor them both and their memory. Gavin was an amazing 7 year old boy who touched the lives of many, both with his outgoing personality and his generosity. Because of his love of motorcycles, we have chosen to keep the name Hearts and Harleys that had come from a motorcycle run he had participated in and was excited to be a part of in August of 2014. Another of Gavin's many loves was playing t-ball for the Crusaders. In his honor, we will be donating annually to the Gavin Pabst Memorial Scholarship, which will be awarded at Cedar Creek High School, to a child who had played t-ball or baseball for Gavin's own team, the Egg Harbor City Crusaders. Also, we have also established a scholarship at Brick Memorial High School in his memory. Michelle was a strong woman and a loving mother who would have done anything to protect her children. In her honor, we will also be donating funds to a shelter or organization to help victims of domestic abuse. Hearts and Harleys is recognized by the IRS and the State of NJ as a Non-Profit Charitable Organization, and was granted with 501(c)3 status. 100% of all net profits will be awarded or donated, as with the scholarship and shelter.
