In 2015 Melanie Brown (New Zealander) founded an exciting, diverse and dynamic selection of wine to UK audiences through her online New World wine platform, Specialist Cellars. The Pop Brixton wine bar and shop, Specialist Cellars launched in 2015 and in 2019 with the guidance of David Beresford we expanded to include their first restaurant, The Laundry at Walton Lodge. We're an entrepreneurial, growing group of businesses and our brand-new restaurant, The Laundry Restaurant, encapsulates a vision of bringing a traditional neighbourhood bistro laced with New World energy to Brixton. We are obsessed with curating an exceptional, rhapsodic restaurant experience by delivering casual dining, supremely. Our combined love of culture of commitment, responsibility and pride in what we do transcends hierarchy.
