Helen Thornton is a qualified and fully insured complementary therapist for people of all ages and their pets, a Magnawave PEMF practitioner for athletes at all levels, and a highly experienced Equine Sports Therapist based in Lincolnshire, UK and with additional London and International clinics. She utilises a diverse range of techniques for people, horses and pets based on multiple qualifications, extensive experience and regular professional training.Helen provides Equine Sports therapy and Magna Wave PEMF for elite sport horses, people and pets. Racehorses to eventers/showjumpers through to happy hackers.Treating both horse and rider is invaluable, as one affects the other's movement, posture, and tensions within fascia lines and centre of gravity. Thus, our injuries and pains do affect the horse's way of going; so, intrinsically, even the way we clench our jaw will carry through to the horse. Helen has extensive knowledge and experience with racehorses and the challenges of re-training an ex-racehorse. Using therapeutic training methods over many years (rehabilitated her first TB aged 14 yrs) including a ground work approach such as Manola Mendez type methods.Helen has a weekly human clinic in Lincolnshire & a monthly London clinic for any person - not just riders - and common complaints addressed are: back/neck pain, shoulder & knee injuries, arthritis management, sciatica, headaches/migraines, auto immune conditions, CFS/ME, sports injuries, and much more. Because PEMF is a natural, non-invasive complementary therapy that boosts cellular recovery, it will target inflammation and damaged cells anywhere in the body.Helen takes in horses in for treatment and she also travels. She provides rehabilitation livery and treatment packages for injuries such as suspensory ligament inflammation or lesions, tendon injuries, fractures, sacro-iliac disease and most other common disorders in the ridden horse. Helen's CPD is continuing for both human and equine.
