Due to the intense regulatory focus on cyber security, in 2015 HLC refocused its efforts on providing security control assessments and policy guidance to financial firms before further expanding its scope to security remediation services in 2016 and 2017. In late 2017, the HLC Cyber Group formed Helical to integrate these offerings into a unified information security management platform. In 2018, Helical acquired Control Catalyst, an information security technology company focused on the life sciences industry.
