HTG provides professional services (network and IT consulting) to Fortune 1000 companies. Prior projects have been across a spectrum of data center migrations (>$10B energy services), operational process improvements (many), network capital and finance projects (many), security and network assessments (including $2B and $26B retail), network rearchitecture (major metro ISP), load balancing/application architecture and implementation for a top 5 US airline, and work with major nonprofits on Internet and security architecture. Our typical customer is a mid-size or large enterprise or ISP/NSP. Our work is defined by complete vendor neutrality. We do not sell any equipment and do not receive remuneration for recommendation or promotion of equipment, despite consulting partnerships with many significant networking equipment manufacturers. This is in contrast to many other potential providers of services who have a direct stake in vendor success and whose engineering advice may be compromised as a result. You can count on us for a deep domain knowledge of networking, which includes specifics on manufacturer architecture of switches and routers, placing us above many talented teams who only focus on implementation of protocols and technologies. We also have a broad generalist view of IT as a whole which includes expertise in application performance, database architecture, systems and network monitoring, IT finance, virtualization and cloud computing (including AWS, Azure, XenServer, VMware, Docker, etc), IT human resourcing, and other interactions of IT with the business. In fact, we tend to take a business-focused approach to technology, and focus on simplicity, composability, and maintainability in our network designs and recommendations.
