HELMSWAY ENGINEERING is a company formed in 2015 in Amsterdam/Netherlands. Helmsway Engineering is mainly working on 1) support and consultancy in engineering projects and 2) manufacturing composite structures. It consists from an engineering team coming from academy and experienced in the field. Helmsway Engineering performs research and development tasks (R&D), conducts feasibility studies and provides solutions for engineering projects requiring knowledge in the following fields: • Structural and construction mechanics (e.g. deformation and strength), • Assembly mechanics (e.g. multibody dynamic systems), • Thermo-mechanics (e.g. cooling systems), • Fluid dynamics (e.g. pipe flows) • Aerodynamics (e.g. boat, plane, car body), • Fluid/structure interacting systems (e.g. propellers). The main activity of the company is in medical, aerospace, automotive, marine, construction (building, ship, off-shore, plants) applications and similar industries. With regard to project support, our team performs various tasks such as; • Engineering design (component and/or assembly), • Design improvement and verification, • Modeling and computational performance analysis, • 1D simulations and numerical studies, • Development of problem-oriented standalone tools (scripts and algorithms) We maintain close contact with our clients to perform tasks according to requirements as defined by them. Furthermore, we manufacture composite structures for industrial applications (e.g. sandwich structures, plates, frames, sail boat keel, rudder blade and car bonnets/hoods).
