Helvète Initiative Details
Helvète Initiative is a Swiss association aiming to promote political, cultural and economic diversity in Switzerland. With the help of our local youth, we support Swiss political parties to initiate national referenda, by gathering a part of the 100.000 valid signatures of Swiss citizens required by law to initiate a national referendum. To remain free and independent, Helvète Initiative has set criteria that guide its support's approval or disapproval. These criteria are driven by the idea that a project has to objectively be for the benefit of all Swiss residents, regardless of their ethnic origins, political opinions, nationalities, religious beliefs and sexual orientations. We, therefore, are an apolitical political force fighting for the common good of our community all across the territory. Helvète Initiative is also fighting to raise political awareness among the young population, in a first a place, and among all the population, as we believe a healthy democracy is a democracy where citizens and non-citizens are involved and aware of the changes and key issues of their countrie.
