In 1913 Magnus Hendrickson, a Swedish immigrant, started manufacturing commercial trucks in Chicago, Illinois. To meet the demand for robust, durable suspension Hendrickson introduced the first tandem walking-beam suspension in 1926 and pioneered load equalisation principles between truck axles.Today Hendrickson is the leading global manufacturer and supplier of medium- and heavy-duty mechanical, elastomeric and air suspensions; integrated and non-integrated axle and brake systems; tire pressure control systems; auxiliary lift axle systems; parabolic and multi-leaf springs; stabilizers; U-Bolts and bumper and trim components to the global commercial transportation industry. Increasing the global footprint Hendrickson has research and development facilities and five manufacturing plants located in England, France, Germany, Austria, Romania and Poland providing state-of-the-art leaf spring, stabiliser and U-bolt solutions for the European OEMs.
