A national leader in engineering education, the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering (COE) was founded in 1995. The College and its programs, professors and students have received regional, national and international recognition since the start. Most recently, U.S. News & World Report ranked our program 17th out of more than 200 programs in our category nationwide.The College provides a hands-on, minds-on experience that is nationally recognized. We offer degree programs in the following disciplines: biomedical, chemical, civil & environmental, construction management, electrical & computer, engineering entrepreneurship, engineering management and mechanical engineering.In 2013, the State of New Jersey designated Rowan University a comprehensive research university, and in 2017 our University was recognized as a Carnegie-classified research institution. During that period, Rowan Engineering doubled both its full-time faculty and student population.In 2017, we opened the doors of Engineering Hall and completed a full renovation of our original home, Rowan Hall. These projects tripled our available space and provided the College with state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities.
