HDDI is motivated by the fact that illiteracy is responsible for the backwardness and poverty prevalent amongst the majority of northern Nigerian ladies and girls. As a non-profit organization, Her Dear Diary Initiative (HDDI) is committed to the empowerment & holistic wellbeing of ladies and girls in Northern Nigeria. HDDI operates in the city of Kano by utilizing organized projects to execute her empowerment programs and interventions. Her Dear Diary Initiative exploits the universal idea of the diary and diary keeping with the intention of impacting and enhancing ladies and girls through capacity building, core learning & mentorship programs. HDDI is structured organically, which allows for characteristic voluntary engagements in diverse roles towards achieving the set goals and objectives. HDDI benefits from this structure whereby a conglomerate of creative and talented individuals volunteer their skill sets in a bid to achieve the HDDI mandate which is to enhance the holistic well-being of ladies and girls. HDDI is headed by five capable and experienced individuals from diverse backgrounds and professional disciplines.
