Founder Alissa Baier-Lentz is on a mission to empower girls and women to be their own heroes. After all, you can't spell hero without "her". Bullied in childhood as a Russian immigrant, Alissa launched HERO to remind the world: What makes you different, makes you super.Each HERO backpack carries an empowering heroic story, and provides one day of school to a girl in a low-income country.
