At Hero Journey our focus is to educate, inform, and guide those who are struggling with addiction to drugs and alcohol towards effective treatment methods and healing through holistic, psychedelic plant medicines. Psychedelic plant medicine continue to gain traction in the addiction treatment and scientific communities because of their ability to treat addiction in unprecedented ways--by targeting the source of addiction in the brain--and offer success rates much higher than traditional treatment methods which revolve around the Alcoholics Anonymous treatment method which has proven itself time and time again to be extremely ineffective for the majority of those struggling with drug addiction.At Hero Journey, we work to spread awareness of these effective plant medicine for treatment of addictions to heroin and opiates, methamphetamines, alcohol, and other drug addictions. Psychedelics have shown potential to treat these ailments, and will continue to grow as scientific study becomes more available. The reason we are so passionate about psychedelic medicine for addiction treatment? Simply, because we have been there. We ourselves have been told the lies. We have been told that we are "addicted," a term we do not believe in and we do not support any methodology that works to belittle and negatively label real human beings. We do not believe that we are broken, that we much accept that we are powerless, or that we have made some kind of mistake, or that we are "off the path" of our lives. Instead, we believe in empowerment, in finding out who we are, and why we continue to use specific drugs. We believe that through the process of self-discovery we can overcome these obstacles that have been put in front of us for a reason.This is the message we look to spread to others who are struggling. We know the path well because we have lived it. We have seen the powerful transformation that comes with psychedelic medicine and we look to give that gift to others.
