When choosing for a study at the age of 17, I doubted between social work and management. I chose the hospitality sector. A traineeship in Chile made me decide to switch to development cooperation. Many years later I realize that this combination of development issues, organizational managerial solutions and leadership is what I like most and that experience in both the private and the development sector is a great added value. Although I appreciate that there are many smart and effective approaches out there, I feel that we could all do much better if we were to sustain our efforts, both in terms of how we organize ourselves and with our interventions. It is at this crossroads of development and management that I try to achieve a social impact in a sustainable way.
