Heymat offers high quality entrance mats focusing on Scandinavian design, sustainability and functionality. Our idea was to combine the quality and innovation of industrial mats with contemporary Norwegian design. Spouses Sonja Djønne and Thoralf Lian from Mo i Rana were the perfect match to realise this vision. Thoralf's solid knowledge about mats goes back three generations, while Sonja has always had a passion for interior and design. Sonja Djønne and Thoralf Lian set up the company in 2015.We have rapidly established Heymat as an important part of homes around the world, and in the design industry. Heymat are now available in several countries in both Europe, America and Asia. In 2019 our Heymat+ collection was nominated in the prestigious NYCxDesign Awards in New York – the design industry's equivalent of the Oscars. The collection won Vakre Hverdagsvarer/Beautiful Everyday Items Award at Norwegian Magazine Bonytt's Ditt Hjem/Your Home Festival 2019. And we recently won the German Design Award 2020 for our popular Heymat+ collection.
