Affordable Historical 18th Century ReproductionsReliving the 18th century has been an inherited part of the lives of founders and sisters Shelsa and Johnna. Their parents, John and Deb, began reenacting as a young married couple, having come about the hobby through their shooting club, Fort McArthur Long Rifles. Having participated in rendezvous since birth, the girls have over 50 years of reenactment experience between them.Taught the art of sewing from their Great Aunt Patricia while still in grade school, the sisters honed their tailoring skills making various historical garments for their reenacting hobby. Marrying a passion for living history, a knowledge of sewing and a thirst for education and the research of the 18th century - creating Hidden Dirk Mercantile seemed a natural step. Drawing on talents from a variety of friends and family members, Hidden Dirk's inventory will be a myriad of constantly updated, evolving products with research and craftmanship behind every item. Regular patrons can look for the standard mercantile inventory to be supplemented with various items from local craftsmen, making the goods list ever changing. From one month to the next you may find limited featured items ranging from hand crafted furniture, lanterns, rugs, crocheted and knitted fineries and other such treasures.
