High Performance and Scientific Computing Center at UIS (SC3-UIS) is non-profit organisation, leader in Colombia in the processes of research, development and training in high performance computing, scientific computing and large-scale systems.The center participates and coordinates different academic collaborative projects and transcontinental initiatives around advanced computing and e-Science in Latin America.It is a strategic unit that strengthens the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) mission: teaching, research and extension. It supports the internal needs of the university and its staff and the needs of society in general (business and industry, government, associations), contributing to competitiveness, innovation, environmental protection and quality improvement of life.To this end, UIS performed continuously high investment in advanced computing infrastructure, applications and human talent with academic training and professional experience of high quality.
