HECUA is a consortium of 26 colleges and universities committed to the radical action of empowering and preparing students to become changemakers in their communities and abroad. HECUA programs are constructed in partnership with well-respected community organizations – in Minneapolis/Saint Paul and Jackson, Mississippi, as well as these international program sites: Italy, Trinidad, Ecuador, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, and Norway. Our mission is to create an environment where students have access to the skills and the knowledge they need to build more just and equitable communities.
