Our organizational mission is to provide services that address the intellectual development of children through behavioral health treatment, after-school enrichment, professional development, service learning projects, and school/community based service coordination for youth and the organizations that serve them in the school and community setting.Higher Ground offers the following services in the school setting: results based cognitive behavioral health support, developmental recess that focuses on appropriate play, comprehensive after-school programs that strengthen academic concepts, service projects that build and develop our surrounding communities, cultural enrichment classes that help ground children family culture and history, and professional development around various subjects.We also support our larger school community through our professional development project called Strong Roots. This project gives classroom teachers practical plans for transforming behavior and increasing social/emotional learning competencies in developing youngsters in and out of the classroom setting. As a part of the strong behavior project teacher coaching, grade level collaborative support services, and school based behavior plans are shared giving teachers a blue print to behavioral transformation. We help teachers teach!
