Hillcrest Heights School of Excellence focuses on the balanced growth of the whole student, not concentrating solely on academics. We believe that when a student loves themselves and grows in confidence, a love and desire to learn and explore their abilities develop naturally. We recognize all students have their own minds, experiences, and view of the world, which makes them uniquely powerful. We foster their journey as they discover their personal learning styles, build confidence through accepting and conquering challenges, and develop relationships with peers, teachers, and community members.At Hillcrest Heights our values are conservative, God-loving, and patriotic. Though our founder and teachers practice Christianity in their private lives, we are not a "classical Christian" school in the sense that we do not teach Bible classes. We practice and teach Judeo-Christian values, which are reflected in our daily morning prayer, our Honor, Community, and Dress Codes, and the perspective from which we teach and interact with each other.Our students experience learning and discovery through a competency-based process, where they choose how they want to demonstrate their in-depth understanding from a variety of ways, in place of rigorous quiz and test cycles. Competency-based learning is at the core of our academic program.At Hillcrest Heights we believe that children are indeed our future, and it's our desire to do our part to help prepare them to confidently and competently carve their place in the world. We connect them with their community and help them build a toolkit of life skills, perfectly complementing their academic acumen.
