Himpunan Mahasiswa Kimia (Himaka) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padjadjaran University was formed in November 1958 on Cilaki Street. The initiation of Himaka Unpad was carried out at the house of a Dutch officer. The position of chairman of the association was first entrusted to Mr. O. Tjahjadi. The formation of Himaka Unpad was based on a desire for chemistry in the form of small study groups, because the number of chemistry students was small.In the 70s Himaka Unpad reached a stable condition and entering the 80s Himaka reached its heyday. Until now, Himaka is still active in activities both inside and outside the campus. Himaka has also joined the chemistry student association throughout Indonesia, namely IKAHIMKI.
