British Homewares Brand. Rooted in Traditional Craft Skills. Established 1980.Hinchcliffe and Barber is a ceramics and textiles company originally founded by Wendy Barber and late John Hinchcliffe. Since John's death in 2010 their daughter Georgia Hinchcliffe has been working alongside Wendy with the aim of continuing to champion British-made ceramics and textiles from Hinchcliffe and Barber's extensive archive of work.The story:John Hinchcliffe and Wendy Barber first started making ceramics in the 1980s from their studios in Dorset. Their distinct style was soon taken up by many departments stores, including the John Lewis Partnership, which stocked the Dorset Delft range until 1997 (until Saville Pottery, who produced H&B at the time, ceased production). Notably too, in 1985, George Davis of Next, commissioned Hinchcliffe & Barber to design their first ever tableware range.
