Hippocrates Med Review (HMR) hopes to provide a world-class forum that showcases a holistic view of medicine as told by the brightest minds in the medical field. Despite medicine's impact in our lives and the world, there has been little attempt to help break the barriers between doctors and researchers and those who are affected by medicine on a daily basis. HMR hopes to fill this niche by providing a forum for students and faculty to share their groundbreaking medical work. Through interviews with leading doctors at prestigious universities, 5 fundamental pillars of medicine have been identified: domestic health, global health, biotechnology, medical humanities, and clinical medicine. As Hopkins' only medical journal that looks at medicine comprehensively by using novel writing techniques, HMR aspires to be the first medical journal that conveys information for the people who are being treated rather than those who are treating.
