HIRELAND is a voluntary initiative that started out around a kitchen table last February by a group of people who decided the time had come to do something about the human and economic fall out of sky high unemployment.We are not from government or any lobby group, just ordinary people who work in and own Irish businesses who realize we all need to do things for ourselves rather than wait for things to happen.If we want different results for the future we need to start thinking and acting differently now. It's up to small and medium sized businesses to kickstart Ireland.And so, Hireland is asking Irish businesses to join the movement of thinking differently – to pledge a job short or long term right now. If just a small percentage of Irish businesses pledge it will begin a positive momentum and start to reverse the downward spiral we are trapped in.This is a chance to get Ireland back on track and not just for those in a position to do the hiring. What each of us does online and by word of mouth in support of Hireland encourages a new wave of confidence in the nation's future
