HL Architects was founded in 2013 as specialist architect firm focusing on manufacturing and logistic building design solutions. Previously a founding director at architectural practice Twoarchitects (PLARCH), Hong Lau established HLA in recognising the logistic industry's need for innovative and personalised architectural services. The practice has since, in less than five years, completed a range of commercial/industrial projects for tier one clients. Some of the more notable projects include large coolroom and food processing facilities for Martin Brower and PFD Food Services, manufacturing & assembly facilities for GME Kingray, OJI Paper and Beaulieu Carpet, as well as logistic and warehousing facilities for Nick Scali, Rhino Rack, OI Glass. ControlCenter. Project area spread across Eastern seaboard and a number of the buildings have received industry awards for design and project excellence.
