In 2000, Brian Hock founded HOCK Training in Moscow, Russia, to provide classroom courses for CPA Exam preparation. Over the next decade, HOCK Training added programs for the CMA, CIA, and CFA Exams as well as several Russian-language accounting exams. Based on his experience teaching thousands of candidates in classrooms across Eastern Europe, HOCK international was founded in 2003 as a sister company to provide materials for self-study. HOCK international soon established itself as a worldwide leader in CMA self-study materials and expanded in 2006 with a complete program for the CIA Exam. In July 2011, HOCK introduced CPA materials beginning with Regulation, with the other Parts following during the rest of 2011.
