My name is Julian Starks and I am the PRESIDENT and principal director and producer of Los Angeles-based Hollywood Filmmakers. We formed our company in 2002 to harness the energies and talent of filmmakers with a depth of experience in producing limited budget documentaries, short and feature-length films. Although we are a young company, our principals, who include graduates of the Los Angeles Film School, collectively have more than forty year's experience in the industry.In the past year we have augmented our capabilities with a group of talented cinematographers, lighting, sound and editing specialists, production assistants and other staff, who can handle just about any project. Our equipment consists of broadcast quality digital video camcorders and editing equipment, and a full array of professional lighting and sound equipment.Our recent projects include two documentaries, "Knock'em Dead," which is currently being shown worldwide in seven film festivals, and "Journey to Sundance" a feature length documentary, a six year journey which chronicles the Sundance Film Festival and Independent filmmaking. We are well-experienced in working with tightly-controlled budgets. We are committed to the notion that skill and creativity have far more impact on film quality than a high budget.
