Holographic particle tracking can identify different particle types in liquids based on their refractive index and/or shape. By tracking each particle individually and determining its optical properties as well as its movement we can characterize particle dispersions in unprecedented detail.Life science is the largest market for particle characterization, and it is also used in a wide range of fields such as food industry, hygiene/cosmetics, pigments/ink, petrochemicals, mineral/cement and water analysis. Holtra was founded in 2020, based on cutting-edge research at Chalmers and Gothenburg Universities, and is currently developing its first analytical instrument.
