Home James was an alternative transportation service operating under the tag line "You Drink - We Drive." Call "Home James" and a stylish chauffeur would arrive on a specially designed collapsible motorbike that was small enough to fit in the trunk of your car. Home James had extraordinary publicity and even had a ten part reality TV show made about it for VH1. It also had more than 500 requests for franchising before the DMV in California banned our bikes and effectively shut us down. I formed a Joint Venture with Motofino to develop a DOT approved bike in China but it took two years and more than $500,000 to make by which time I was done. UPDATE: In light of Uber's success there has been much interest in resurrecting the company using electric motorbikes and a custom made app. It deserves a second chance as Uber and others have still not addressed what to do with your car if you drive to an event and are too drunk to drive home.
