Nonprofit Organization Management - Seattle, Washington, United States
The Hong Kong Student Association (HKSA) has been one of the main student-run cultural clubs at the University of Washington since 1984. Though we are labeled under the geographical location of Hong Kong, we are an inclusive club that welcomes not only other parts of Asia like Macau and Guangzhou but anyone who is interested in learning and experiencing Hong Kong culture. HKSA serves to promote Hong Kong cultural heritage to all students in the UW community and provide a platform where Cantonese students can interact and socialize with each other.HKSA puts together a variety of events throughout the year, including get-togethers for our Canto Class series, New Years' celebration, and other holiday traditions and general meetings. Our biggest event of the year is our annual Little Hong Kong event, which introduces a one-of-a-kind experience of Hong Kong brought to you in Seattle. The smells, sounds, and views which can only be attributed to Hong Kong are the factors which make the city unique. The cross-heritage of cultural and international bustling activities and the dynamic trends of nightlife and city lights keep this city moving constantly at a swift pace, offering a truly amazing experience for all.
