Hook was named one of England's 50 most creative companies by Creative England in 2016 with founder Ed Barratt being recognised by BAFTA as a ‘Breakthrough Brit' after enjoying critical success with his debut feature film as a producer - THE RISE. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and had its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival attracting numerous award nominations along the way. The film was released theatrically in the UK by eOne.The company is presently in post-production on Abigail Blackmore's feature debut Tales from the Lodge (starring Mackenzie Crook, Johnny Vegas and Sophie Thompson). And is due to shoot it's first TV project in Autumn this year.Hook have a slate of projects in development and relationships with some of the UK's most exciting new writing and directing talent. Development partners include Sony, Universal, Sky and the BBC.
